The Milky Way on a hazy August night
Part-time prevaricator
The river was calm this weekend. Almost like glass, on Sunday.

This last one’s from Saturday’s bike ride, when the air was a bit smokier and I forgot to check to make sure my lens was set on autofocus. I call it “EXT. Day; creepy forest”. It looks like a location Ingmar Bergman might have filmed in.
My friend Tim is camping up at Wasagaming in Riding Mountain. I went to visit him last night, and before I came home we went to Spruces to check out the twilight. (We’d planned to check out the sunset but we got to talking, and time got away from us a little bit. So it goes.)

Some lovely crepuscular light there.
We saw a wolf, too, trotting down the highway, but I didn’t get a photo of him.
The sky was blue for the first time in a few days—we’ve been getting wildfire smoke—so I got about an hour’s worth of clouds and condensed it to 60 seconds for all of you.
