They liked it

That went well.
As they say, “That went well.”  The Facebook comments for my story “Exit Interview” were all very positive. (Whew.)

You can click the little wee screenshot to see ’em, if you want.

On tap for tonight: Write Club. (Followed up, almost certainly, by a farewell to a couple of our writers, who are going to Guelph* and China, respectively.)

* I think it’s Guelph, anyways.

Íslendingadagurinn

This weekend my wife and I went up to Gimli with my mother for the 122nd annual Icelandic Festival.  I hadn’t been to the festival in many years — it’s on a long weekend in summertime, so it tends to attract weddings, family reunions, and other events — but this year Mom called us up about a week and a half before the weekend and said, “Hey, you want to go?”

We said “Sure!”

Coming Soon

If you want to have my short story “Exit Interview” emailed direct to your inbox, you’ll need to sign up for Daily Science Fiction, and soon.  My story’s coming in early August.

(If you don’t sign up, all is not lost; stories show up on their site about a week later, and I will for sure post a link to it here, and on Facebook, and on Twitter, and probably Google+ …)

Contract

The contract for my Tesseracts story arrived in my email inbox today, as well as the layout version of my story for me to proofread. Awesome. If you need me, I’ll be proofreading.

Hey, does anyone know — can you spell Ouroboros with a lowercase “o”?
Update: Yes.

One more hit in Google

Oh hey look, Edge Publishing has added details about Tesseracts 14 to their website. So that’s one more place my name will appear when I go ego-surfing.

Looks like it’s ready for pre-ordering, too:

Brandonites: Pennywise Books
Canucks: Amazon.ca
Americans, and the rest of the world too: Amazon.com

(Hint hint. Also, aside to Keith, if you’re reading this — if you’ve got a pre-order email address or something, I’d be abundantly happy to add it to the head of this list.)

I’m pretty excited, all over again! Also: I’ll be reading from my story “Heat Death, or, Answering the Ouroborous Question” at Words Alive this year. If things work out, I’ll also be able to sign books there, just like a Real Proper Author.

Woo-hoo!
