So we watched Test the Nation last night. I did the test online, and came up with an IQ of 121. Then we did it on TV, and I ended up with 137. I think the 121 is probably more honest–some of the questions were easier the second time around, since I knew, for instance, what they were going to ask for the memory questions, and could plan accordingly.
Interested in taking the test? Go to http://www.cbc.ca/testthenation/ and try it out there.
So I watched part of the Oscars last night. I also played a video game during part of them, with the TV on in the background. While I was playing my game, I heard someone say that the Oscars had “gone green” this year. And I thought, Does that mean everybody walked to the theatre? Or rode bicycles? Or even used public transportation?
Then I thought, Who am I kidding?
Caught a bit of “Deal or No Deal” the other day. Is it just me, or is this one absent of even the hint of skill? As far as I can tell, the show’s a blend of greed, peer pressure, and game theory.
We watched Red Green tonight, the first new one I’ve seen in some time, and I have a question (likely rhetorical):
Whenintheheck did Harold get engaged?
